Am I a bully is a book that defines bullying from a self reflective perspective. The main character of the book is an eleven year old girl. She is a social butterfly, great student and has a lot of friends. Her best friend is a girl name Rosalie. The main charachetr finds herself as an unlikely, unknowing bully when her friend ignores her on the playground. The main charachter talks to her mom about her day. Her mom helps her identify what a bully is.
The book will allow children to ask themselves if they are bullying there friends. The possible portrayal of a bully from a child's point of view, prompts communication on the topic of bullying. The self-reflection series promotes an open dialogue and encourages children to speak freely about their feelings of bullying or being bullied.
